Because of the success of the Tracerco Personal Electronic Dosimeter PED-IS (previously the PED T404) and the need from users there are 2 new models of this dosimeter developed.
The PED-IS, developed in 2011, is an intrinsic safe personally electronic dosimeter with ATEX certificate. The PED-IS is developed for measuring the exposure to x-ray/gamma, specifically for the oil and gas industry, emergency services and CBRN / CBRNe.
2 new PED models
The PED Blue is the non-intrinsic safe version. The dosimeter has a lighter weight and comes with a Micro USB connection, therefore a charging dock is no longer required. The PED Blue is especially made for non-destructive testing (NDT), Â medical and biomedical sciences and for industrial use.
The black PED+ is adjustable as a dose rate survey meter or as a personal dosimeter and comes with Bluetooth and GPS. The PED+ is especially made for the emergency services, defence and the oil and gas industry.
DoseVision™ Live
DoseVisionâ„¢ Live is the new Android app for the PED+, the supervisor sees real-time measurements till 7 PED+ dosimeters on his Android device.
The app displays for each connected PED+ live:
- peak rate and dose rate
- remaining exposure time
- battery life
DoseVision™ software update
There is a DoseVision software update available, version 3.1.1, all new PEDs are now supported.
New software functions are:
- 4 dose alarms for PED Blue and PED+
- alarm message support for PED+
- handheld mode control for PED+
- map view for PED+
The software update is available via the Tracerco website.
